The following is an appeal for help for long time volunteer and advocate of the BC sheep industry, Cynthia Tupholme.
Cynthia has raised her family in the Gulf Islands in British Columbia, Canada and spent many years mentoring children in the BC 4H program and in horticulture with students in educational food gardens, which lead to many volunteer hours helping out various organizations across the province.
Cynthia was diagnosed with, Multiple Myeloma, bone/blood cancer, only 18 months ago. She moved to the BC main land and underwent extensive treatment by cancer practitioners there, including the Head of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, of Vancouver General Hospital, where she underwent Stem Cell Transplants and several Chemotherapy regimes.
Unfortunately, the conventional cancer treatment didn't stop this aggressive cancer for long and her Oncologists, of the Fraser Valley Cancer clinic, has said that they can offer no further treatment that would give any chance of success, advising, that she has only a few months before the cancer will cause organ failure and death.
However, Cynthia is a fighter and is not about to give up. She has searched for other plausible alternatives to help her fight this disease and believes she will have that fighting chance if she is able to attend The Budwig Cancer Center, in Spain, which has had proven and documented success with Cynthia`s type of cancer.
Dr. Budwig started work with cancer in the 1950's, was nominated for the Nobel prize, 7 times and has had thousands of successes since then. The treatment costs approx. $15,000. plus air fare to Spain and food for two. It is a requirement that someone accompany Cynthia on her trip.
Cynthia has set up a "Go Fund Me" account in an effort to raise the necessary funds to get her to Spain, as soon as possible. There is no time to waste, Cynthia is fighting for her life. Please help Cynthia and her family get her to Spain by sharing this appeal and contributing if you are able!

As well as, being the Website Manager for several farms and sheep organizations such as BC Sheep Federation & Inter Island Sheep Breeders Association; Cynthia is also an accomplished Artist, with work in several countries around the world. If you would like to commission her for a personalized representation of your favourite animal or farm scene, you can contact her email at [email protected] or through her website at, "Cyn's Artwork & Design", http://cynsartworks.weebly.com/

A Farmer's Creed
I believe a person's greatest possession is their dignity and that no calling bestows this more abundantly than farming.
I believe hard work and honest sweat are the building blocks of a person's character.
I believe that farming, despite it's hardships and disappointments, is the most honest and honourable way a person can
spend their days on this earth.
I believe farming nurtures the close family ties that make life rich in ways money can't buy.
I believe my children are learning values that will last a lifetime and can be learned in no other way.
I believe farming provides education for life and that no other occupation teaches so much about birth, growth and
maturity in such a variety of ways.
I believe many of the best things in life are indeed free; the splendour of a sunrise, the rapture of wide open spaces, and
the exhilarating sight of your land greening each spring.
I believe that true happiness comes from watching your crops ripen in the field, your children grow tall in the sun,
your whole family feels the pride that springs from their shared experience.
I believe that by my toil I am giving more to the world than I am taking from it; an honour that does not come to all.
I believe my life will be measured ultimately by what I have done for my fellow human, and by this standard I fear no judgement.
I believe when a person grows old and sums up their days, they should be able to stand tall and feel pride in the life they have lived.
I believe in farming because it makes all this possible.

" I believe in the Farmers Creed and will honour it for as long as I am able, unfortunately, due to a serious illness, I have had to give up my farming lifestyle, but this website will continue to act as a network of connections for those seeking advice or sources of information on farming, primarily organic gardening, sheep or poultry, in Canada.
Please feel free to check back often to see what's new. "
Farming Forever,
Yours truly,
Cynthia
